Walking
Quiet lanes and footpaths lead away from Lower Wraxall providing miles of peaceful walking.
Local Villages
Cattistock. The Fox and Hounds 01300 320444. foxandhoundsinn.com for good pub food. It also has lovely church and a village shop. Only 1.5 miles due east.

Attractions
The Jurassic coastline is nine miles away - Burton Bradstock being our locally favoured spot with a delightful National Trust cafe on the beach.
Bath and Weymouth. Take the local train from Maiden Newton and enjoy these Georgian towns - Bath famous for its architecture, Roman Baths and individual, lovely shops and Weymouth for its unspoilt Georgian sea front, fine sandy beach and safe bathing.
Sherborne. Castle and Abbey and some excellent shops.
